An Educators’ Guide to Fortifying Executive Function

February 22 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm MST

FREE

EXPERT:  Brandon Slade

Executive function (EF) skills are the mental processes that enable us to plan, focus our attention, remember instructions, stay organized, and successfully manage our time. While these skills lag in many children with ADHD, learning differences, and co-existing conditions, integrating EF support strategies in a classroom will help all students. This webinar will provide educators with the tools they need to teach these crucial skills.

In this webinar, you will learn how to:

  • Implement clear classroom expectations and routines
  • Set up learning management system portals to decrease student questions and limit confusion
  • Manage and follow student accommodations (504 Plans and IEPs)
  • Incorporate movement in your classroom to improve focus — while avoiding chaos
  • Teach students how to advocate for themselves through role play
