Pathways to Structured Literacy is an Orton-Gillingham-based professional development experience focusing on diagnostic and prescriptive literacy instruction. Participants will learn components of a complete Structured Literacy lesson. This IDA-Accredited online offering is perfect for educators who have completed Pathways to Proficient Reading and are interested in enhancing their practice in an MTSS/RTII framework.
Our Pathways to Structured Literacy course runs as a stand-alone course. The Pathways to Structured Literacy practicum is optional and runs twice a year; January and September. The practicum must be completed in one year and is needed for certification purposes. You must begin the practicum no later than five calendar years after completing Pathways to Structured Literacy.
Pathways to Proficient Reading is the prerequisite for the Pathways to Structured Literacy and must be completed before you can start.
