Session 4: November 24, 7:30pm – 9pm (ET)
Join us for a series of panel discussions with Canadian educators who are at the forefront of implementing structured literacy in their schools. They will share the changes they have made and how they overcame the challenges encountered along the way. They’ll also provide concrete examples of small actions that individual educators can take to spark big changes in their schools and the lives of their students.
This workshop series will conclude with a special presentation by the Ontario Human Rights Commission. The lead lawyers for the Right to Read Inquirywill outline their findings, recommendations, and answer your questions about what the Right to Read Inquiry means for teachers and schools.
These workshops are highly interactive and participants will have the opportunity to share their own stories of success and ideas about how we can work together to improve outcomes for all students. Information gathered during the workshops will be used to create a resource for Ontario educators interested in creating a culture shift towards the science of reading in their own boards.
While the presentations will be recorded, we do encourage live participation due to the interactive nature of the workshops. We hope you can attend!
